- Ingredient safety: The EU bans over 1,300 substances identified as harmful — including carcinogens, endocrine disruptors, and toxins
- No animal testing: Since 2013, EU law prohibits animal testing on both final products and raw ingredients
- Ongoing oversight: Every cosmetic formula is evaluated and monitored for long-term safety and efficacy under EC Regulation 1223/2009
At Rachel Perry, we take this even further by voluntarily excluding ingredients that remain legally allowed but questionable — ensuring only the purest, most skin-compatible ingredients go into every formula.

Rachel Perry formulations are created by Luisa Oliva — an Italian PhD chemist and cosmetic science lecturer based in Paris. With 25+ years of global experience (including L’Oréal), a background in botany, and deep expertise in clean formulation, Luisa is known for pioneering skincare that merges science, texture, and nature with uncompromising quality.
Our commitment echoes worldwide—capsules of plant power sourced from the Aeolian Islands, Switzerland and Malawi, brought together in elegant formulas. Each ingredient is chosen for effectiveness, sustainability, and traceability, and each partner community is supported through our Eleven Lights Foundation’s philanthropic efforts.
